about my paintings...

I am a collector of things and a curator of discards. I like to work in collections with a common theme.
I work on several pieces at once drawing from the same harmonious palette.
I sometimes treat themes like studies. I’ll paint a painting from another painting adjusting the colours, reducing the details, adding details, or focus on different elements.
I also like to play with textures both visual and physical: pages of text on the surface, application of heavy body paint, flicks of unbleached titanium, pools of poured resin on a wooden box.
Everything is always original – I never sell prints.

about my photography...

​Travelling for work and pleasure affords me the opportunity to explore strange and interesting spaces of some common and unknown places. I don’t tend to go out looking for things to photograph, rather I am always looking when I’m out and am compelled to snap a shot when the light is right or the angle is off. I see everything.
I will reprint images to sell but never the same size. Everything is always unique and original.
